John Leguizamo Returns to Berkeley Rep with Latin History For Morons July 1-Aug 14

Freak, Mambo Mouth or Spic-0-Rama? Moulin Rouge, Cronicas or Too Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything?  Do you remember House of  Buggin’?  Perhaps you’ve been watching him on Bloodline. We all have our favorite work of his. If you’re a John Leguizamo fan, you’ll have a chance to catch him live in the Bay Area as he returns with his new solo-show this summer starting July 1 with John Leguizamo: Latin History for Morons.

In John Leguizamo: Latin History for Morons, the outrageous, multifaceted performer attempts to teach his son (and the rest of us) about the marginalization of Latinos in U.S. history and the vital roles they played in building this country. From a satirical recap of Aztec and Incan history to stories of Latin patriots in the Revolutionary and Civil War and beyond, Leguizamo breaks down 3,000 years into 90 irreverent and uncensored minutes in his trademark comedic style. History was never so mind-blowing…or hysterical!

Latin History for Morons
