MEX AM Festival Starts July 16

We encourage the community to come out for the MEX AM FESTIVAL. It’s a eight-day festival celebrating Mexico’s art, culture, and people. Whether a performance, talk or a foodie, there’s something for everyone.

MEXAM FESTIVAL 2017
Celebrating the integration between Mexico and the United States of America in San Francisco’s Bay Area.

The festival is a multidisciplinary initiative that showcases a program with music, film, food, visual arts, digital art, dance, literature and talks of some of the most influential Mexicans in their field of expertise. It runs its fourth edition this summer and it’s already a major event in the San Francisco Bay Area. Portraying Mexico as a country of innovation and a leader in art and creativity.

This year the festival includes a much more comprehensive program with Mexican talent who was born and raised in the United States. This special characteristic looks for the promotion of the people who are changing the world and making great contributions as a result of the integration between both countries: Mexico and the United States of America.
We have as a special partner this year – The State of Jalisco – featuring outstanding performances and exhibitions from one of the most diverse and rich states of Mexico.
It is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico through the Consulate General of Mexico in San Francisco, with the support of Federal Agencies such as the Ministry of Culture, ProMexico, Mexico’s Country Brand Office and the Ministry of Tourism.”
