Short film casting call

Friend of the Cine+Mas and local filmmaker Noe Flores wants to see if you fit the bill! Auditions today and Saturday.  This is also posted as an active casting call on SFCasting.com. For more info, you can also contact Noe at noe.m.flores  (AT) gmail (DOT) com.

Here are the character breakdowns and audition info:

Angel, male, Latino, 30-40 years of age, speaks Spanish. Angel is bad dude. No smiles from this guy. Angel is from Mexico originally but has been in the US for many years now. He knows Juan (the principal role) from work, they both work at a restaurant, and has convinced Juan that you have do some illegitimate things if you want to survive as an immigrant. He’s very street savvy and will seize any opportunity to make more money at any cost. *PLEASE NOTE IF YOU SPEAK SPANISH

Nicolas, male, Latino, Teenager. Speaks spanish. Nicolas is a teenager. He is an undocumented immigrant from El Salvador and has been in the United States for a year. The only reason he’s here is because his older brother brought him, thinking he would have a better life in the U.S. He’s a good student but what he excels at is running. Running is what got him noticed in El Salvador. The local gangs were looking to him to join them and do some running for them when his older brother saw this and decided to bring Nicolas to the U.S. They now live in a large city in a shabby space and unsure of what the future holds. The younger you appear, the better. *PLEASE NOTE IF YOU SPEAK SPANISH

Juan, male, early to mid 20’s, Latino, speaks Spanish. Juan is an undocumented immigrant from El Salvador and has been in the U.S. for 1 year. He came to bring his little 13 brother who was close to getting involved some of the gangs in E.S. He currently works as a busboy in a restaurant but is not earning a whole lot so he sometimes dabbles in criminal activity to get by. He doesn’t like doing it and definitely doesn’t want his little brother to get involved. Juan loves his family and will do what he must for his little brother. *PLEASE NOTE IF YOU SPEAK SPANISH
