Daniel is a young man suffering from low self-esteem, who is incapable of defending himself from the abuses of employers and of society in general. He is on antidepressants to make his monotonous life more bearable; however, far from helping him, the medication heightens his condition with hallucinations and psychotic thoughts of vengeance that lead him to a state of total confusion between reality and his imagination.

Yet as Juan becomes more a part of this lively, energetic, and somewhat shady scene, his ties to the upper-crust threaten both his budding relationship and his transition into a true artist.

Arriving in Havana, the two women promptly lose the ashes and go through a series of misadventures – both romantic and dangerous – to try to retrieve them, making some surprising discoveries along the way about the family ties that hold them together.

Does she accept the deal and turn her back on the friends who got her to the precipice of success or does she let a golden opportunity slip away. Nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance 2012.
