Cine+Mas SF is co-presenting the German-Argentine film THE DAY I WAS NOT BORN- official selection of this year’s edition of Berlin & Beyond Film Festival It screens October 23 8:45 at the Castro Theatre.

About the film:
During a stopover in Buenos Aires, Maria recognizes a nursery rhyme. Though she does not speak a word of Spanish, she remembers the lyrics vividly. Two days later, her father Anton shows up at her hotel, confessing that: Maria spent her first three years of life in Buenos Aires during the military dictatorship of the 70s. She was adopted and brought to Germany. Father and daughter begin a journey in search of Maria’s biological parents — with Anton doing all he can to regain his daughter’s trust.
